Veterinary Services & Pet License Center is a government-funded stray pet control center responsible for providing animal control services in Lee County, Florida. Serving more than 10,000 animals a year, the center only accepts pets delivered by their owners on a very limited basis. To help pet owners in financial crisis keep their beloved pets in loving, responsible homes instead of leaving them in overcrowded shelters, Animal Services established the Community Pet Pantry Program. This program provides free pet food and supplies to residents of Lee County.
If you need help with a domestic animal such as a dog or cat, you should contact your local Lee County animal service. They can assist with issues such as stray dogs and cats, spay/neuter programs, vaccines, licenses, pet adoption, reports of bites, pet deaths, pet loss, complaints about local animals, and reporting abandoned or abused animals. In addition to these services, Animal Services also offers customized Fort Myers wild animal control solutions for almost any type of wildlife problem. Whether it's the noises of squirrels running through the attic, a colony of bats living in a building, or the destructive behavior of a raccoon, they have the experience and tools to quickly and professionally resolve your animal problem in Lee County.
To request assistance with this issue, bring proof of public assistance to the Animal Services sterilization and castration clinic (blue entrance) located at 5600 Banner Drive in Fort Myers (next to the Lee County Sheriff's Office on Six Mile Cypress Parkway) between 9am and 5pm. If you originally adopted your pet from Animal Services and the pet is under 5 years old, is in good health and temperament and Animal Services considers it adoptable, it can be returned if space is available and the applicable return rates are paid. Animal Services also provides services in the cities of Cape Coral, Fort Myers Shores and Lehigh Acres; animal control services in Clewiston, La Belle; pest control in Fort Myers Beach, North Fort Myers; and wildlife services in Waterway Estates, Moore Haven and wildlife management in Sanibel and Bonita Springs.
